The University was granted an international certificate of conformity to the international quality management standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001: 2008 with the accreditation of the United Kingdom Accreditation Service. The Certificate was issued by the “Bureau Veritas Sertification”, which is recognized in more than 150 countries around the world.

The University joined the United Nations global initiative “Academic Impact” which aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in actively supporting ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, literacy, sustainability and conflict resolution.

The University joined the Baltic University Programme (BUP) which is a network of about 225 universities and other institutes of higher learning throughout the Baltic Sea region. The network is coordinated by the Baltic Uppsala University, Sweden. The Programme focuses on questions of sustainable development, environmental protection, and democracy in the Baltic Sea region.
